CROATIAN COAST · SUMMER 2027

The people behind a great summer.

Spend less time chasing vacancies and more time looking after guests, service and the season ahead. Tell us the people, skills and dates your operation needs; we will build a practical recruitment plan around it.

BUILT AROUND YOUR BUSINESS

Your operation comes first.

A busy restaurant, a family campsite and a large resort need different people. We begin with the service you want guests to feel and the work your team needs to deliver—then turn that into a clear, attractive brief for the right candidates.

Together we agree roles, headcount, shifts, pay, accommodation, season dates and practical requirements: cuisine type, service style, language levels, bar or coffee experience, licences and, where relevant, HVAC, electrical or mechanical maintenance experience. The result is a clearer recruitment plan and less uncertainty for your operation.

HOSPITALITY STAFFING

The roles that keep your guests happy and your summer moving.

01 / GUEST EXPERIENCE

Front of house

Reception, reservations, hosts, waiting staff, bar teams and guest services. We agree the language level, service style and customer experience each role needs.

02 / KITCHEN & FOOD SERVICE

Back of house

Head chefs, chefs de partie, commis chefs, pizza and pastry specialists, kitchen porters and food-service support for hotels, restaurants and campsites.

03 / ROOMS & PROPERTY

Resort support

Housekeeping, room attendants, cleaning, laundry, grounds and maintenance. Where needed, we screen for HVAC, electrical, mechanical and other role-specific experience.

QUALITY IN THE DETAIL

From the guest’s plate to the systems behind their stay.

The roles are different; the standard is the same: people who know their work and understand what it means for the guest experience.

THE RIGHT ROUTE FOR YOUR TIMETABLE

Four recruitment routes. One practical plan.

We search the Option A candidate database, run targeted advertising and recruitment activity, and organise recruitment events where appropriate. The route is shaped by the role, timing and the people you need.

LOCAL CROATIA

Croatian candidates and locally based talent

We search our Croatian database for people already available locally, matching hospitality experience, language and availability to your brief.

EU & IN-COUNTRY EXPERIENCE

EU citizens and experienced third-country nationals

EU/EEA citizens can work in Croatia without a work permit. We also recruit experienced third-country nationals already working in Croatia; after six months with their first Croatian employer, they can transfer in as little as a week.

REGIONAL BALKANS

A regional search shaped by your brief

We widen the search across the region for people whose experience, language capability and availability match the work you need done.

INTERNATIONAL RECRUITMENT

A broader pool with forward planning

For planned requirements, we can identify suitable candidates while allowing time for selection, work authorisation and travel arrangements.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS

A clear path from your brief to their first shift.

We keep the process straightforward, role-specific and visible—so you can select with confidence and focus on the season ahead.

01

Agree the brief

We define the work, service standard, skills, language, pay, shifts, accommodation and start dates that matter to your operation.

02

Search and attract

We search the database, use targeted advertising and, where appropriate, organise recruitment events or brief selected recruitment partners.

03

Initial screening

We screen for role fit, relevant experience, availability and initial eligibility against the agreed brief.

04

Face-to-face or video interviews

We interview candidates in person where practical or by video, exploring their experience, motivation and understanding of the role.

05

References, skills and language checks

With consent, we take references and carry out role-related skills, language, certificate or practical checks as appropriate.

06

Assessment centres for larger orders

For volume hiring, we can organise structured assessment centres with job-related skills and language testing.

07

Meet candidates before they travel

Where a campaign warrants it, we can organise in-country overseas selection sessions so you can meet shortlisted people before travel to Croatia.

08

Employer shortlist and selection

You review the evidence, meet the shortlisted candidates where useful and make the final selection for your team.

09

Work authorisation and visa support

Where required, we support documentation for work authorisation and relevant visa processes; eligibility, timing and decisions remain with the relevant authorities.

10

Travel, arrival and ongoing support

We coordinate agreed travel and arrival arrangements, check in around the start date and provide the support agreed for the season.

TWO WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

Recruitment or managed staffing.

We agree the employment responsibility, charges and support before recruitment begins. Your recruitment agreement includes a clear guarantee period, agreed upfront.

Direct recruitment · posredovanje

We find and screen the candidates. You select them, make the offer and employ them directly. We support the documentation and practical journey to their first shift.

Temporary staffing · ustupanje radnika

Where suitable, Option A can employ the workers, manage payroll and assign them to your business under an agreed staffing arrangement. If demand changes, we can explore redeployment where the contract, worker’s rights and permit conditions allow.

Employer FAQs

Planning hospitality recruitment for the Croatian coast? These answers explain how requirements, sourcing, selection and practical arrangements can be organised. Each campaign is tailored to the roles, operating period and hiring model.

Which hospitality roles can you help us recruit?

We recruit across kitchen, restaurant and bar, accommodation and resort-support teams — including chefs, cooks, waiters, bartenders, reception, housekeeping, maintenance and, where certification is required, lifeguarding. We can also support selected supervisory and management roles where needed. Before we begin, we agree the service level, technical capability and team fit you need.

What do you need from us to get started?

The more information you share, the closer the match we can make. The essentials are the job title, key requirements, location, pay, shifts and hours. The strongest briefs also explain your business culture, language requirements, accommodation, bonuses or benefits, your ethos and what you want beyond a job title or technical skill set. That helps us find people who can genuinely succeed in your team — not simply someone who looks right on paper.

How do you source suitable candidates?

We tailor the sourcing mix to your brief. It can include candidates already in Croatia, EU/EEA candidates, experienced third-country nationals already in Croatia, regional and international recruitment. We use our candidate database, targeted advertising and recruitment events, together with a carefully selected group of smaller, vetted recruitment partners we have worked with for years. As an established recruitment company, our website and active social-media reach also help us reach people across the Balkans.

Can we meet and assess candidates before we decide?

Yes. For candidates already in Croatia, we can arrange face-to-face or video interviews. For candidates outside Croatia, this is usually a live video interview, or a separately recorded interview using questions agreed with you that you can watch when it suits you. We pre-screen candidates against the agreed profile and can include relevant checks of skills, language, certificates or references, with candidate consent where needed. The final hiring decision remains yours.

Can you organise overseas selection sessions or assessment centres?

For larger projects or specialist work, where the volume and timing justify it, we can arrange in-country selection sessions. These can combine an employer presentation, interviews, agreed skills or language checks and an assessment-centre format. We agree the country, format, candidate numbers, timetable and costs in advance so the process is practical for your project.

What support is available for work permits, visas and arrival?

Depending on the agreed scope, our support can range from gathering and forwarding documents for the visa process to fuller operational support with stay-and-work permits and visas. Agreed travel and arrival arrangements can also include coordination and airport transfer. Decisions and timelines remain with the relevant authorities, so responsibilities, documents and costs for each step are set out clearly in advance.

What is the difference between direct recruitment and temporary staffing?

With direct recruitment, Option A sources and screens candidates; you select, offer to and employ the successful person. Where it is suitable, a temporary-staffing arrangement can mean that Option A employs the worker, manages payroll and assigns them to your business under the agreed arrangement. The right model, employing entity and each party’s responsibilities are agreed in writing before recruitment starts.

Do you offer a guarantee or replacement?

Your recruitment agreement includes a one-month guarantee. If a selected candidate does not arrive, we will provide a replacement in line with the agreed terms. The agreement sets out the start date, notification process, covered circumstances, exclusions and the replacement process so expectations are clear from the outset.

How long will recruitment take?

For candidates already in Croatia, recruitment can take roughly five days to five weeks, depending on seniority and how difficult the skills are to find. It is often quicker for readily available roles, but this is an estimate rather than a guarantee.

For candidates who require a Croatian stay-and-work permit but not an entry visa, allow six to thirteen weeks; about eight weeks is a reasonable planning assumption, depending on the time of year.

For candidates who need both a stay-and-work permit and an entry visa, the steps are sequential: an entry visa cannot be applied for until the permit has been granted. Sourcing and selection can begin early, but the permit and visa stages cannot run in parallel. In total, three to four months is a typical planning range for overseas hires; longer can be needed if documentation, appointments or authority demand delay the process.

Can I speak to someone about our options?
